Restore deleted shared drives or their files

Equally an administrator, you lot tin can restore files that were deleted from a shared bulldoze. If the entire shared bulldoze was deleted, you lot can as well restore the shared drive and its contents. Doing so restores the binder structure and the files it contains. To restore individual files and folders in a user'south My Drive, go to Recover deleted files and folders for Bulldoze users.

Restore files or shared drives

Note: If you restore a lot of files or folders at once, it might take some time to restore all the items. If you start a restore while some other ane is in progress, one of the restores will be cancelled.

  2. From the Admin console Home folio, go to Apps and then Google Workspace and then Drive and Docs.

  3. ClickManage shared drives.

  4. (Optional) Click Add a filter to select a filter option, such as No members or Date created.
  5. Hover over a shared drive and click the Restore push.
  6. Select a date range for the data restore. If you lot're restoring a shared bulldoze and want to restore all the files that were in the shared drive when information technology was deleted, you lot must select the date information technology was deleted upward to the electric current date.

    Important:You can only restore items that were removed from the shared drive's trash within the concluding 25 days, even if yous have boosted Google Vault policies in identify. For details, go to Apply Vault to search Google Bulldoze.

  7. Click Restore Data.
